Full Body Massage

Holistic Massage is performed slowly with pressure using oil and is based on the principles of Swedish Massage to promote positive physiological and psychological effects.

The massage works the whole body, from head to toe. For massages lasting over an hour, the abdomen and/or the glutes can also be included.

During the consultation, we can discuss any focus areas and requirements for deep tissue work, stretches or myofascial release.

Thai Foot Massage

Thai Foot Massage originates from Ayurvedic Massage and is still practiced by Buddhist monks today. Having spent several months in Thailand and enjoyed this therapeutic treatment countless times, I am passionate about its beneficial aspects as, stimulated through the feet, the whole body releases toxins and muscles relax. A session leaves you feeling revived and re-balanced and restores a sense of wholeness to both the body and mind. A rosewood Thai foot stick is used to stimulate acupressure points on the feet and the lower legs are also massaged. Thai Foot Massage can be safely given to pregnant women with a few adaptions and, if you are over your due date, specific areas of the feet can be stimulated to help to encourage labour.

Pregnancy is a special time of wonderful change and transformation in a woman's life. However, it can also bring its own anxieties, aches and pains. The additional oestrogen and progesterone needed to maintain the pregnancy alter the whole body - blood volume, interstitial fluid and muscle walls. Massage therefore needs to be safely adapted for the needs and demands of a pregnant woman's body.

The additional weight carried during a pregnancy can put strain on the posture as it compensates to comfortably accommodate the growing baby within. This can result in muscle tension, especially on the back, shoulders and feet.

Pregnancy massage is administered with the mother lying side-on, hugging a pillow. After your first trimester, you can safely enjoy Pregnancy massage to help relax the mind and body during the most precious, nurturing time of your life.
